Mountain Top Removal Comic – last panels

Loads of news to fill you in on today – Honduran Resistance Members’ insights into the situation on the ground and the gathering momentum for the constitutional reform petition; the Dalai Lama’s talk at Stanford this morning (off to the next one this afternoon) and about to go to veteran US intelligence officer Ray McGovern’s talk at the Stanford Law School. Only at Stanford could you go from a CIA officer to the Dalai Lama via a brief stroll across campus. I’ll type it all up this evening in between the gargantuan amount of comics I have to spray paint ahead of APE this weekend.

The more observant among you will notice the addition of a subtle “support comics journalism” widget on the left-hand sidebar. If you’re a regular visitor to the site or have enjoyed what you’ve read then please help keep the site going by chipping in a few cents. Every little micropayment helps. If you’re into the big bucks, then just head to the store and you’ll get a hard copy of the comics for your hard-earned cash.

Come and see me at San Francisco’s Alternative Press Expo (APE) this weekend! I’ll have 2 new comics on sale, and will be doing live drawings (as opposed to dead drawing, which is my preferred method) for Archcomix purchasers. Table 276, listed as the Center for Cartoon Studies.

News headlines for today: a river of toxic sludge sweeps through Hungary (eerily similar to the coal run-off mentioned in today’s panels), and evidence comes to light of US congress members using public funds to back the de facto Honduran “government”.

Speaking of Honduras, I’m delighted to announce that the Honduran coup comic will soon be translated into Norwegian, bringing the total number of versions up to 6, alongside English, Spanish, Danish, Japanese and Greek. French and Portuguese are currently in the works.

TGI Friday bonus: news and storytelling links aplenty over at the Knight Project page.

In case you missed it yesterday, I’ll be at table 276 next weekend for the Alternative Press Expo at the Concourse Exhibition Hall in San Francisco (SoMa area).

As I’m currently working on my Knight project these days, I thought I’d point you towards some of my earlier work you may not have seen – a piece that ran in Bash Magazine a few years back. Go here to read the whole comic, hidden as it is under the US Politics tab at the top of the page. Remember to RT/share it around it if you liked it, or -even better!- head to the Archcomix store to order your hard copy. ($5 plus shipping/P&P). More news after the jump.
